Some memory loss with aging is normal, however in some cases memory loss can be an earlier sign of a more serious problem. Some concerning signs of memory loss are forgetting things much more often than you used to, forgetting how to do things you've done many times before, difficulty learning new things, repeating phrases or stories in the same conversation, trouble making choices or handling money, or not being able to keep track of what happens each day. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you may be eligible to participate in one of our research studies of an investigational medication for the treatment of memory loss that precedes Alzheimer’s disease.
