The clinical development for products for infectious diseases is an increasingly competitive area. Premier Research recognizes the importance of rapid clinical development without comprising quality which, in turn, necessitates identification of a large number of centers of clinical excellence. To achieve this, Premier Research has established a broad base of investigative centers around the world.
Premier Research project team members have extensive clinical experience and training in infectious disease studies involving antivirals, antibiotics and antifungal compounds. Premier Research has completed more than 95 research studies of antimicrobial agents, immunosuppression agents, and antiviral compounds and devices, involving thousands of both inpatient and outpatient subjects.
In the last decade, Central and Eastern Europe has played a more prominent role in the clinical development of a variety of therapeutic agents, in particular antimicrobial agents. Premier Research has met this opportunity by establishing a presence in all major countries in CEE. These locations are staffed with full-time local medical and scientific personnel who are totally familiar with native languages, cultures and medical practices.
In order to maximize this broad geographical potential, Premier Research employs senior personnel who have completed global anti-infective programs for a number of major pharmaceutical companies. This has involved management of all aspects of development from design of the program, discussion with Regulatory Authorities, clinical development from Phase 1–4 and regulatory submissions. The quality of design and successful delivery of the program components has contributed to the granting of marketing approvals for numerous anti-infective agents.
