Premier Research offers study volunteers who are within a reasonable driving distance to our clinics in Texas and Utah, the opportunity to participate in many research studies. These include studies that evaluate investigational pain medication for postoperative pain following wisdom tooth extraction, bunion removal surgery, knee surgery, shoulder surgery, hernia repair, and hip replacement surgery. In addition, research studies evaluating investigational pain medication for hip and knee pain, painful menstrual cramps and migraines are also offered. If you are generally healthy, you may be eligible to participate in one of our studies.
Every trial that we conduct is different. Some require only a few quick visits to our clinic while others require an extended stay with us. We encourage you to review our list of current studies or contact us for information on current trials. If we do not currently have any trials that fit your profile, we can place your information in our confidential database and will contact you if you qualify for a future study.
Clinical trial participation is voluntary, and you will be compensated for your time and travel. The total compensation for each study varies based on the time commitment and number of procedures required for the study. If you are interested in participating, our staff will schedule an appointment for you to have a screening visit with our medical staff. At the screening visit, the study will be thoroughly explained and a free physical exam will be performed. If you and the physician agree that you are a fit for the study, you will be invited to participate.
If you are on regular medication, a study physician must approve the medication for you to be eligible to participate in the study. If you use illegal drugs or drink heavily, you are not eligible for most studies. Women who are trying to become pregnant, are pregnant, have recently given birth or are breast feeding are not eligible to participate in studies.
